[] Added NFD (Normalization Form Canonical Decomposition) decomposed BMS/OGG files (for OSX)

[] Added JScript feature detection

[] Passed the test: JSLint edition ALPHA (new.jslint.com/jslint.html)

RareWares: “All oggvorbis compiles updated to libVorbis 1.3.5” ()

Compiles updated to the latest release. Intel 14.0.1, 32 and 64 bit compiles for Windows.

Some BMS creators are using very old Ogg Vorbis converters. For example, some examples from G2R2014:

Encoded by libVorbis 1.0.0 ():
Ignited Time, Aragami, Yellow Smile (bms edit)
[GTune 3 Beta 1 (?)] stairway to the universe
Encoded by libVorbis 1.0.1 ():
夢幻泡影
Encoded by libVorbis 1.1.0 ():
青春, Y, night flight, SCHOOL GIRL STRIKERS
[Sound Player Lilith v0.991b] Dstorv, LEAVING IN THE NIGHT, The Endless Power
Encoded by libVorbis 1.1.1/1.1.2 ():
ROTTELER'S GOURMET RACE
[Sound Player Lilith v0.992] ICU Remix, 無感情ダイヤモンドハート, FunkFun, Asymmetry
[寺尾ちゃん ver 1.10] alpa -はじまりのまほう-, Amusing Colorful Pudding., CHICKEN for the WIN
[Lancer b4b ()]
[Lancer b5 ()] ΩXIII, KARA (Broken Remix)
[aoTuV Beta 4.51] edge imitate dawn, Reach to the sky (radio edit)
[aoTuV Beta 5] holy night celebration
Including oggdec v1.9.3 ():
Altale, Futro funky critter, Yellow#Stripe, Winter Rime
Encoded by libVorbis 1.2.0 ():
Hypernova, CYCLONE, Aquarius, LOPS ON ACID, new earth, ROOTS SOAK LASTING xxHz
[Studio One 2.6.1.24770] Op.0 敬虔なワルツのための戦闘曲

The above-mentioned 37 works are possibly under the influence of CVE-2008-1419, CVE-2008-1420, and CVE-2008-1423. I'm not a developer, so it's difficult for me to think about an advantage of using the old library intentionally. There may be usefulness about backward compatibility.

P.S. (): According to “aoTuV Beta5.6 [beta5.5 >> beta5.6] ()”:

  # (Important!) The security hole of old libvorbis origin was fixed like latest libvorbis.  The software using the decode function of the former library should be updated to the latest library.  This problem does not influence the encode function.

Uh… I seem to have misunderstood.

EVS (Emoji Variation Sequence/Selector) test

Firefox knows Emoji Variation Selectors.

On Windows 8.1, only Firefox is supporting EVS partially for the moment. But if Emojis continue without whitespace, VARIATION SELECTORs on Firefox do not work correctly.

Midori does not know Emoji Variation Selectors.

On Windows 8.1, Midori 0.5.9 garbles “Emoji + VARIATION SELECTORs” as Tofu.

Unicode filename problem (1): filesystem encoding

Examples of Unicode filename on Windows/Linux:
schön.wav (U+00F6)
フォルー.wav (U+30C0)
한글.wav (U+D55C U+AE00)
Above-mentioned filenames are normalized as follows on Mac OS X:
schn.wav (U+006F U+0308)
フォルダー.wav (U+30BF U+3099)
한글.wav (U+1112 U+1161 U+11AB U+1100 U+1173 U+11AF)

Windows/Linux filesystem uses NFC (Normalization Form Canonical Composition). Mac OS X filesystem (HFS+) uses NFD (Normalization Form Canonical Decomposition). Thus,

// UTF-8

// U+00F6
#WAV01 schön.wav

// U+30C0
#WAV02 フォルー.wav

// U+D55C U+AE00
#WAV03 한글.wav

#00111:01020300

Are OSX BMS applications able to refer to actual files from above-mentioned UTF-8 BMS code?

Unicode filename problem (2): interoperability

It doesn't seem possible to preserve the Unicode filename by a standard archiver in Windows (ja-JP locale) at least. Users must use external formats (e.g. RAR, 7z, etc.) to achieve that.

Sample directory “hello\”:
こんにちは\kick.wav
สวัสดีค่ะ-สวัสดีครับ\bass.wav
ជម្រាប សួរ។\ohh.wav
🎹\v_X.wav
안녕하세요\v_foon.wav
你好\clap.wav
test.bms
On Windows 8.1 (ja-JP locale), Context menu → Send to → Compressed folder:

“[圧縮 (zip 形式) フォルダー エラー] สวัสดีครับ など圧縮フォルダーで使用できない文字が使われているため、'D:\hello\สวัสดีค่ะ-สวัสดีครับ' を圧縮できません。このファイルまたはディレクトリの名前を変更してください。”

“[Compressed (zip format) folder error] 'D:\hello\XYZ' can't be compressed because the characters (e.g. XYZ) which can't be used by a compression folder are used. Change the name of this file or directory.”

A standard archiver of Windows (ja-JP) seems to compress the filename by the “ANSI” encoding. In case of Windows (ja-JP), the “ANSI” indicates Code Page 932 (something like a Shift_JIS). // Code Page Identifiers

On Windows 8.1 (ja-JP locale), the above-mentioned folder zipped by WinRAR 5.21:
Unzipped by Explorer on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Success
Unzipped by WinRAR on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Success
Unzipped by 7-Zip on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Failure
Unzipped by Explorer on Windows XP (ja-JP): Failure
Unicode directory names are garbled:

mbqmg\v_foon.wav
mjtmqxaqs-mjtmqxaftw\bass.wav
o好\clap.wav
riokme ptkq\ohh.wav

test.bms
On Windows 8.1 (ja-JP locale), the above-mentioned folder zipped by 7-Zip 9.38 beta:
Unzipped by Explorer on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Success
Unzipped by WinRAR on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Success
Unzipped by 7-Zip on Windows 8.1 (ja-JP): Success
Unzipped by Explorer on Windows XP (ja-JP): Failure
Unicode directory names/structures are garbled:

This is the navigation which attaches to “package which had to be prepared quickly for reviewers”. Most of indispensable information for reviewers is described by this text.

Navigation about “PABAT! 2014 seasons” :

About “DELIGHT ♬ ANTHEM”:
This BMS includes Non-ASCII character U+266C “(BEAMED SIXTEENTH NOTES)” in BMS/MPEG filenames, BMS contents. Microsoft Code Page 949 encoding can treat “♬”. Microsoft Code Page 932 encoding cannot treat “♬”. On ja-JP localized Windows, this BMS terminates original/unaltered/unmodified LR2.
About “Snow Black -黑雪公主- (2014 Re Edit)”:
If you use ja-JP localized Windows, (1) Copy “흑설공주_00[0-9].wav”, and (2) Rename “ネ貍ウーヨ_00[0-9].wav”. By this, LR2 and other Japanese BMS apps can play this BMS correctly. MD5 Hashes of BMS doesn't change, so this solution doesn't influence Internet-Ranking.
About “Over The Maximum”:
This BMS includes Non-ASCII character U+C804 “(HANGUL SYLLABLE JEON)” in WAV filenames, BMS contents. CP949 can treat this. CP932 cannot treat this. On ja-JP localized Windows, LR2 cannot sound 2 audio files.

Windows 8.1 + Opera 12.17: 전
(According to FileFormat.Info, “U+C804 is not a valid unicode character.” Why? How should I use NCR?)

charatbeatHDX v1.06

  • Customizable skin system (document is not available, see charatbeatHDX_v1.06\SKIN\sample.zip)
  • Supported PCM 24-bit WAV
  • MultiTouch Device plugin (release version) [Windows 7+, max 16 points]
  • Added many IIDX-like options
  • [Bug] When 🎹.bms loaded,

I failed in compression of the Unicode filename, so I re-compressed in 7-Zip.
